Nafsync is a dating app for Muslim adults, where the compatibility between two profiles is assessed by artificial intelligence. By creating an account and using the app, you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.
You must be at least 18 years old to create an account. Nafsync is strictly for adults: no minors are allowed. You agree to provide accurate information when you sign up (first name, date of birth, gender, location). Any false statement, especially about your age, leads to the immediate removal of your account.
You can sign up with email, Google or Apple. Email verification is required in every case. You are responsible for keeping your login details private and for any activity on your account. Let us know right away if you notice any unauthorized use.
Nafsync is built on respect and sincerity. The following are not allowed: harassment, hate speech, nudity and sexually explicit content, scams, spam, commercial solicitation, impersonation and fake profiles. You agree to use the app only for a genuine, personal search for a partner.
You can add up to 10 media items (photos and videos). For each item, you choose whether it is visible or blurred; blurred media are revealed after a sync (or automatically for Premium and Pass members). Reported media are reviewed manually. Any media clearly generated by AI to hide your real appearance, or any content that breaks these rules, is rejected or removed.
Your display name, age and region are always public. For the other fields, you choose what is public or private; private fields are only revealed to a profile you have synced with. You remain responsible for the information you decide to share.
Chat is only available after a sync (a mutual pulse, an accepted Super Pulse or an accepted Direct Pulse). Conversations are text (and GIF) only. You can block or report a member at any time: a blocked member can no longer see your profile or contact you.
Compatibility on Nafsync is assessed by artificial intelligence. Two features rely on it: Insight, which gives you an estimated compatibility score and a short explanation for a profile you are looking at (limited number of estimates, higher with Premium), and Direct Sync, where the AI picks, among the eligible profiles, the one it considers the most compatible with you. To do this, the content of your profile and of the other person's profile (attributes, bio, prompt answers — never your name or your photos) is sent to our provider Anthropic; see our Privacy Policy. These estimates are indicative: they are generated automatically, can be wrong, and are neither a guarantee of compatibility nor personal advice. Your own judgement always comes first.
Female members can add their wali's (guardian's) contact details. If a wali is added, the in-app chat is disabled and your wali's contact details are shown to your syncs so they can reach you through them. Nafsync never contacts your wali on your behalf and is not a substitute for the advice of an imam or religious reference.
Nafsync offers optional purchases: the Premium subscription (weekly, monthly or yearly, auto-renewing), Boosts, the 24-hour Pass and Super Pulse / Direct Pulse credits (one-time purchases, no renewal). Payments and subscriptions are handled by the App Store (Apple) or the Google Play Store through our provider RevenueCat; prices are shown before purchase.
A Premium subscription renews automatically at the end of each period unless you turn off renewal at least 24 hours before it ends. You manage and cancel your subscription in your App Store or Google Play account settings. Amounts already paid are not refunded for the current period, except where required by law or the applicable store rules.
Identity verification is optional and free: it is based on a selfie with a requested gesture, reviewed manually by our team. If approved, a "Verified identity" badge is added to your profile. This check is meant to build trust and does not guarantee a person's identity with absolute certainty.
The app may show ads (mainly to non-Premium members) provided by Google AdMob. These ads are clearly identified as such and do not imply any endorsement by Nafsync.
If you break these terms or the community rules, we may issue a warning, temporarily suspend (for 1 or 7 days) or permanently ban an account. A suspended member can contact support if they believe it was a mistake.
You can deactivate your account (reversible) or delete it permanently at any time from your settings. Deleting erases your personal data and anonymizes your conversations. You can also request an export of your data. Accounts inactive for 12 months may be deleted after a prior warning email.
Nafsync and its elements (brand, interface, code) remain our property. You keep your rights to the content you post, but you grant us a limited license to host and display it as part of the service. You warrant that you hold the rights to the media you upload.
Nafsync is a matchmaking service: we do not guarantee a sync, a relationship, the relevance of the AI estimates, or the accuracy of the information other members provide. The app is provided "as is". To the extent permitted by law, we cannot be held liable for interactions between members; please stay cautious in your conversations and meetings.
These terms may change. If there is a significant change, we will let you know in the app. Continuing to use the app after an update means you accept the new terms.
