Law Enforcement Guidelines
How authorities can submit legal requests to Nafsync.
Last updated: October 2026.
Nafsync is a dating app for adults. We take the safety of our members seriously and cooperate with law enforcement and government authorities in accordance with applicable law, while protecting the privacy of our users. See also our Privacy Policy, Terms of Use and Child Safety Standards.
1. How to submit a request
Requests must be sent from an official government email address to [email protected] with the subject line “Law Enforcement Request”. Please include:
- your name, title, agency and official contact details;
- the legal basis for the request (subpoena, court order, search warrant or equivalent valid legal process);
- the account identifier(s) concerned (email address, username or user ID) and the data requested, with a time range;
- the case or reference number and any deadline.
We do not accept requests through social media, in-app messages or other channels.
2. Our review
We review every request for validity, scope and jurisdiction. We may reject or narrow requests that are overbroad, vague or not legally valid, and we may ask for clarification. We only disclose the minimum data legally required. Messages sent in the app are stored encrypted, and we do not hold data we have already deleted under our retention policies.
3. Notice to users
Unless prohibited by law or a court order, or where notice could endanger a person or compromise an investigation, we may notify the affected user of the request.
4. Emergency requests
If a situation involves an imminent risk of death or serious physical harm, including the sexual exploitation of a child, send your request to [email protected] with the subject line “EMERGENCY – Law Enforcement” and explain the nature of the emergency. We will review it as a priority and may disclose information without formal legal process where the law allows it. Anyone in immediate danger should first contact their local emergency services.
5. Preservation requests
Upon a valid request from an authority, we can preserve relevant account data for a limited period (up to 90 days) while formal legal process is obtained.
6. Reporting abuse
We report apparent child sexual abuse material to the competent authorities, as described in our Child Safety Standards. Our rules of conduct are set out in our Acceptable Use Policy.
